Rare Brown Mastodon Ivory Hair Pin

A beautiful abstract hair pin made from rare brown mastodon ivory. Even rarer are the blue flecks that can be seen in this piece. Called "blue ivory", it is one of the rarest of any fossil ivory. Several blue flecks are very prominent in this piece. It is 2.75" X 1".

The brown ivory is from the Outer Bark of the tusk and is very rare.
